How to Play Othello Reversi: Rules and Strategy
The game begins with four discs placed in the center of the board, two white and two black, arranged diagonally. Players (Black and White) take turns placing one disc of their color on the grid. However, a move is only valid if you outflank one or more of your opponent's discs. Outflanking means placing your disc so that it traps a straight line (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal) of your opponent's discs casual gameween your newly placed disc and another disc of your color already on the board.
After placing your disc, all of the outflanked opponent's discs in that line are flipped over to become your color. This simple mechanic can lead to dramatic, cascading turns of fortune, where large sections of the board change color in a single move. The game ends when the board is full or when neither player can make a legal move. The player with the most discs of their color on the board wins.
